About Me
I am Judy Sayers from the beautiful island of Saint Lucia which is known as the Helen of the West Indies. I am presently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with the University of the West Indies (Open Campus) in the field of Education. My course of study is Early Childhood Education and Family Studies.
I am a teacher and have dedicated my whole life to teaching. I am blessed that I have the opportunity to work with young children between the ages of five and twelve years old. I am quite passionate about my profession and believe that my calling is to plant and nurture seeds that will grow and shape tomorrow's children.
As an educator I believe that each child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. It is my desire as an educator to help children meet their fullest potential despite their varying abilities and learning styles. Therefore, my role is to give children the tools with which to cultivate their own gardens of knowledge.
Teaching is a lifelong learning process and it provides for me an avenue for continual learning and growth. One of my hopes is to instill a love of learning in my students as I share my own passion for learning with them.
Through the eyes of a child, I will never forget how to smile with the new, cherish the old and laugh with the children.
